190 Queen’s Gate

1.What made you take on your role at 190 Queen’s Gate and what do you love most about it?

I took on this role to transform the dining experience at 190 Queen’s Gate into a premier culinary destination where guests can savour outstanding, top-tier cuisine. This is a long-term passion of mine, and I'm dedicated to its success. What captivates me most about 190 Queen’s Gate at The Gore London – Starhotels Collezione is its quintessential English charm and unique character. Its rich history and distinctive personality make it an inspiring place to work each day.

2. Who or what has influenced your cooking style the most?

I've been profoundly influenced by many renowned chefs worldwide, from the Roux family to those at the Escoffier School. Additionally, my late mother was my earliest inspiration, fostering my love for food from a young age.

3. Your biggest achievement to date is...

Winning the Roux Scholarship in 2000 remains my proudest culinary achievement. It was a transformative moment that opened doors to incredible opportunities, allowing me to learn from the best and perfect my skills at the highest level.

4. Which ingredient can't you live without?

Great quality salt!

5. When you're not busy cooking and have down time where can we find you drinking and dining?

I adore the cuisine at Lyle’s in Shoreditch, a modern British restaurant that beautifully highlights seasonal ingredients.
