Penelope's, the acclaimed winner of the prestigious 2024 British Restaurant Awards' "Best Luxury Restaurant" title, recently announced the debut of an intimate and exclusive dining experience at its chef’s counter. This new offering provides guests with the unique chance to savour an up-close and personal tasting menu meticulously crafted by the esteemed Executive Chef Fez Ozalgan.
This extraordinary weekly event is limited to just 10 fortunate guests, ensuring an interactive and unparalleled dining journey where attendees can witness Chef Ozalgan’s culinary prowess first-hand. Patrons will be treated to a specially designed multi-course menu, each course thoughtfully paired with a complimentary welcome cocktail or a sparkling glass of bubbly.
Executive Chef Fez Ozalgan, celebrated for her dynamic and innovative approach to cuisine, infuses each dish with a rich culinary heritage. The gastronomic adventure begins with mouthwatering Manakish accompanied by miso honey butter and Mushroom Hummus garnished with pine nuts. Following these delights, guests will relish dishes such as Whipped Cod’s Roe adorned with trout caviar, Chicken Pastel served with chicken aioli, and Lamb Sweetbread enriched with chicken jus, tarragon, and seaweed. The menu further entices with a savory Crab Tostada featuring za’atar and brown crab, Charred Celeriac paired with herby pil pil and caper zhug, and Burnt Leeks complemented by almond ajo blanco and preserved lemon tapenade. The culinary experience reaches its zenith with the main course of Spanish Wagyu Striploin, served with date jus and almond salsa macha, and culminates with a delectable Milhojas filled with pistachio cream and accompanied by coconut ice cream.
This exclusive dining event at Penelope’s, located in the prestigious Hotel AMANO Covent Garden, will occur every Wednesday at 7:00 PM, priced at £110 per person. Due to the limited availability, early booking is highly recommended, with reservations open up to two days before the event.
