Ansty Hall Warwickshire: A grand reopening.

The UK-based B-Corp hotel group, Exclusive Collection, proudly unveils the latest addition to its esteemed portfolio with the grand reopening of Ansty Hall in Warwickshire. This historic grade II listed Georgian manor has undergone an extensive refurbishment, breathing fresh life into its ancient and storied walls. With a past steeped in medieval lore and connections to renowned authors, the 62-room Ansty Hall boasts a rich history intricately woven into the town’s Shakespearean heritage and a forward-thinking approach to hospitality.

Style

Nestled within eight acres of the picturesque Warwickshire countryside, Ansty Hall marks the seventh country-house hotel to join the Exclusive Collection. The interiors artfully pay tribute to the region's rich heritage and local craftsmanship, reflecting its once-thriving weaving and textile industry, as well as its innovative motoring past. The hotel’s design, masterfully executed by Russell Sage and Trevellion, seamlessly incorporates locally crafted art and pottery, pioneering in-room technology, regionally woven upholstery, and the historic red brick facades. These elements collectively create a cohesive and subtle homage to the area’s storied past.

Steve Ogden, the General Manager of Ansty Hall, shared his excitement: "Ansty Hall, much like its emblematic Phoenix, has risen from the ashes thanks to Exclusive Collection. We are elated to welcome guests to experience a perfect blend of elegance, history, and innovation. From the painstakingly restored Georgian architecture to the thoughtfully curated literature and art that grace our halls, every detail has been meticulously crafted to inspire and delight our guests. It is an honor to be part of a property that offers not just accommodation, but an immersive journey through time, space, and unparalleled hospitality."

Accommodations

Situated in an ideal central location within the Midlands, Ansty Hall serves as a gateway for exploration. The house’s rich history invites guests to immerse themselves in local artworks, a curated collection of books, and myriad inspiring details throughout this beautifully restored 17th-century residence.

The hotel features 62 spacious bedrooms and suites, four exquisite event spaces, and a restaurant named Woven, which offers a culinary tapestry of local flavors. Guests can also indulge in Ansty’s unique twist on afternoon tea, enjoyed either in the elegantly redesigned lounge or on the charming terrace.

Adjacent to Ansty Hall is a quaint church redesigned by the esteemed architect Sir Gilbert Scott, known for his work on King’s Cross and St Pancras stations. The idyllic church and scenic grounds make the hotel an ideal venue for weddings. The property offers a variety of spaces accommodating up to 160 guests for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. These include The Orangery, a separate building featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with direct access to the grounds; the Cedar Room and Henry’s Library, both with garden views; and the Gilbert Scott Room, which offers stunning views of the Warwickshire countryside.

Food & Drink

The aptly named restaurant, Woven, pays homage to Ansty’s past when the ribbon weaving industry thrived in Coventry. The restaurant combines local craftsmanship and art with elegant furnishings to create a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere. Chef Ryan Swift leads the culinary team, presenting classic British dishes infused with local flavours and unexpected touches. The elegant tearoom and lounge serve Afternoon Tea in true Ansty fashion, with the ‘High Chai’ experience featuring local flavours and various Chai latte options, complementing the traditional tea offerings.

Culture Fix

Art and literature enthusiasts will find themselves captivated by the hotel’s Henry Library, named after the author Henry Cadwallader Adams, a former owner of the house. The library features a curated collection of his novels, inviting guests to delve into literary history. Drawing inspiration from Coventry’s historic "True Blue" dye, the hotel’s colour palette and interiors subtly reflect the red stone façade and the surrounding countryside, creating a harmonious and evocative atmosphere.
