The resort’s coral restoration program, in collaboration with local marine biologists, is an ambitious initiative aimed at rejuvenating the broken coral pieces by attaching them to specially designed coral frames. These coral frames facilitate the growth of coral by up to 5 centimeters annually, providing a source of food and shelter to marine life. Milaidhoo also offers guests unique opportunities to actively participate in marine conservation through guided snorkeling tours, educational talks, hands-on coral planting activities, and even ‘adopting’ their own coral reefs to plant and monitor its growth over time.
